tynefolk: interviews are held periodically. They begin at 7.30pm for an hour where the invited guest enters into conversation, generally with a member of the club, discussing their life and beginnings in Folk Music.

The interview and their following performance are recorded onto a double CD. This recording is made and sold, with the full permission of the guest, only to club members members who attend and order on the night. A copy is held for the club archive and a further copy is introduced into Newcastle University Folk Degree Course Library.

In this way, tynefolk hope to help keep alive the sound and conversation of these important contributors to our Folk Tradition in perpetuity.
